At Bigfoot, we are “life-learners”. That means being professionally certified and keeping those certifications current is not only required; it’s valued as an important part of our culture.
We encourage consistent growth and professional development as you maintain and upgrade your certifications, but we don’t make you do it alone. Where applicable Bigfoot will not only pay for the program tuition required to increase your credentials, we’ll also pay you for the time it takes to complete those programs.
And just to sweeten the pot, we also cover required professional membership dues that are directly related to your position. Long story short, having highly certified employees is a key part of Being Legendary and a great financial benefit to our team.
A BONUS TO LAST A LIFETIME
If you’re going to work with tower cranes, you had better be certified to operate them.
At Bigfoot, we view both your time to get certified and the tuition on the courses and tests all to be a company cost. That means your training time, and both your Riggers and Tower Crane level B certification training tuition fees are paid for by Bigfoot, a minimum $20,000 value.
This training will apply only to those who pass their three-month probationary period, and who do not already have these certifications.
These are certifications paid for by Bigfoot but are attached to you and your credentials file for life.
These are formal programs you might get paid (time, tuition and applicable LOA costs) to take along your Bigfoot Career Path:
- Electrician apprentice training to become Red Seal certified
- Millwright apprentice training to become Red Seal certified
- Elevating Devices Mechanic certification from Technical Safety-BC
- Hoist operator training & certification
- High angle rescue training, plus your own pro grade fall protection gear
- Upgrading your crane operator certification from Level B to Level A
- First Aid training
