Abbotsford, British Columbia— Bigfoot Academy is proud to announce the launch of a cutting-edge Vortex Advantage 5-screen training simulator, a milestone in crane, construction and heavy machinery training technology. This advanced simulator, developed by CM Labs, will be available starting July 2024 for students at Bigfoot Academy, making it one of the few institutions in British Columbia to offer such innovative training solutions.
The Vortex Advantage simulator provides a fully immersive learning environment where students can virtually operate a wide array of heavy machinery including tower cranes, mobile cranes, boom trucks, excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders, dozers, and haul trucks. This variety ensures that students gain comprehensive hands-on experience in a safe and controlled setting, preparing them for real-world operations.
“Our new simulator is a game-changer for training in the heavy equipment operation industry,” said Ralf Notheis at Bigfoot Academy. “It allows students to experience the feel of operating heavy machinery without the risks associated with on-site training. This technology not only enhances learning outcomes but also ensures safety and efficiency, which are top priorities in our training programs.”
The Vortex Advantage simulator is renowned for its realistic controls and feedback, providing students with a lifelike experience that closely mirrors actual equipment operation. The simulator’s ability to replicate various scenarios helps students learn how to respond to different challenges they may face in the field.
Bigfoot Academy’s commitment to providing high-quality education and training is reflected in their investment in this state-of-the-art simulator. “We are excited to offer our students the best available tools to prepare them for successful careers in construction and heavy machinery operation,” added Ralf.
