Bigfoot Crane Academy provides practical, industry-focused training designed by experienced crane, rigging, and safety professionals.
In operation since 2008, we are the oldest private crane training provider in British Columbia. Our instructors bring real-world experience into every course, helping participants connect classroom knowledge with the situations they may encounter on active jobsites and in industrial workplaces.
Our training programs are trusted by employers across construction, manufacturing, civil works, warehousing, utilities, and other industries where safe lifting practices matter.
Build practical knowledge for employees who operate or work around overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
Prepare workers to recognize and manage rigging hazards commonly encountered during civil construction and infrastructure work.
Help supervisors, foremen, site leads, and safety personnel better understand the crane and rigging work they oversee.
Give supervisors, project teams, and safety personnel a clearer understanding of tower crane documentation and regulatory responsibilities.
Participant knowledge may be evaluated through instructor observation, discussion, exercises, or a written assessment, depending on the course selected.
Employees are expected to participate throughout the session and demonstrate an understanding of the key safety principles and course material presented.
Course completion documentation may be provided where applicable.
Participants should arrive ready to take part in the full training session.
Depending on the course and training location, participants may be required to bring suitable work clothing, safety footwear, a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, or other personal protective equipment.
Any course-specific prerequisites or equipment requirements will be confirmed before the training date.
Group training may be delivered at Bigfoot Academy Training Centre or at your location. With exception of the Overhead Crane & Rigging Fundamentals which is only offered at your location where a crane is available.
