Inside Sales Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for successful day to day rental and sales of the company’s crane accessories, including underhook attachments and wind safety systems. The Sales Representative is responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process while meeting or exceeding sales targets on a monthly and annual basis. The ability to maintain current customer account relationships as well as building new customer relationships is a key requirement of the position.

The incumbent must be customer service focused and driven to meet or exceed expectations of all customers; both internally and externally. The candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, listening, and communication skills as well as an in-depth knowledge and application of standards and regulations pertaining to our specific industry.

Key Responsibilities

These are the day to day expectations of this job:

Deliver sales activities in accordance with the department goals and objectives
Manage a territory covering the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Thompson Nicola and Okanagan
Responsible for sales and rentals of our equipment and services:
- Self-erecting tower cranes
- Tower cranes
- Construction elevators
- Generators
- Under hook accessories
- Mobilizing and servicing of customer owned cranes and hoists
Maintain accounts with monthly review of contacts and sales volume targets
Sell and rent company’s products and services
Solicit new account sales with a strong emphasis on prospecting activities
Assess job requirements, generating quotes and following up with customers
Maintain and update the CRM database on a daily basis
Follow up on all sales leads and related downstream sales activities
Submit all site and customer information to operations personnel in a timely fashion to allow them to service the customers effectively
Participate in planning exercises and meetings as required for developing and promoting sales and marketing programs
Attend and participate in sales meetings
Resolve customer invoice concerns and perform credit duties as required
Provide ongoing marketing photos of cranes and equipment on jobsites
Follow corporate sales dress code, maintain cleanliness of company vehicle and uphold company image at all times

Sales skills with the ability to produce quotations as well as follow up and close the sales on an ongoing basis
Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to manage a variety of activities simultaneously, good judgment, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster a team environment
Efficient use of computers, Microsoft Office Suite and other associated programs utilized by the company
